What I believe happens is some aggregators, like Bloglines, feed the act of clicking on your blog back to Feedburner. However, bloglines themselves already tells people whether or not there is new content. So if Bloglines tells me Robert is mum, I won't click in. But if they tell me he's shooting his mouth off, I'm clicking away eager to hear to what he has to say. This has a benefit of noting for you your actual (sort of) daily readership. I figure, with some aggregators being manual or on-demand downloading, my Feedburner numbers represent about 60 to 75% of the actual number of people with my blog in their aggregator. I’ve pondered this as well.

I figure that is what most people do during the work week. You too, right?
